| Message | Hi, Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your web site. I have been a big Joe Don fan going way back. I remember seeing him in Cool Hand Luke and also in Charlie Varrick. Then came his great performance in Walking Tall. I also got to see him in a memorable movie called Welcome Home Soldier Boys that I am feverishly trying to find on VHS. I have always enjoyed Joe Don's work and I am glad that Hollywood has 'rediscovered' him. Thanks again for the great site, John Stander Worthington WV |

| Message | Hey Everybody, The "Walking Tall" Trilogy is now available on a DVD set. I own it. You can buy it thru Wal-Mart's web site, and pretty much any movie selling site on the web. There's a good one called "BestPrices.com" that I use often. |

| Message | Chris, I'm glad that you and other JDB fans enjoy the site. Since Feb 2006 there have been nearly 2000 visitors, which is great, and I think shows just how much interest there is in Joe Don and his work. I am in total agreement about the original "Walking Tall" - you couldn't better it. Your best bet to get the original is probably Ebay, I have seen copies there before. Thanks to everyone who has supported the site over the past year, and I hope that people who maybe know him for one role will want to catch a few more classic performances. |

| Message | The Rock cannot compare to the original movie.My wife wanred to see Walking Tall with the rock and we did. I told her wait till you see the original. I am currently looking for the 1973 original with Joe. |

| Message | Just wanted to post that one of Joe's co-stars on Eischeid passed away several weeks ago; it was Vincent Bufano, who played Det. Alessi. There is an "In Memoriam" notice in today's New York Daily News on page 73. Vincent and I were high school classmates at Mount St. Michael Academy in the Bronx; while we were not buddies (since we hung with different crowds) I do remember he was in at least one of my classes and I almost fell on the floor when I saw him in the opening credits for EISCHEID. Say a prayer for Vincent.....I know I will.  |
