The Republican-controlled Congress has raised its own pay several times since they last raised the minimun wage in l997! Elizabeth Dole and Richard Burr would not work for $5.l5 per hour, but they want other people to do so. |

| Message | Please raise the minimum wage. My first job 10 years ago paid me more than the minimum wage is today. It is hard for a family to live on mimimum wage even if both parents are working. The more financial stability they can provide their children, the more likely their children will be to finish school and get better jobs. Support families now so they need less support later. |
