MessageI support raising the minimum wage. If you would volunteer at Urban Ministries, you would learn that a great many of the people seeking aid are among the "working poor." It appears more and more that legislators(both state and national) bow to business and have little regard for the working people. Please consider making a difference in the lives of people who work for low wages.

MessageI highly support the proposal to raise the minimum wage by a dollar ... at a minimum! That is a good start and I don't think we should contemplate even less. This is not about "crimping profits" but about distributing more of those profits to people at the bottom of the economic ladder who need it most.

MessageIt is imperative that the minimum wage be raised to a level that reflects the work being done and the cost of living in our society.

MessageI am a college student attending NC State University. I support a $1 increase in the minimum wage in order to help families living in poverty inside such a prosperous nation. Thank you

MessageActually, I support raising the minimum wage to $8.82 per hour, which is the inflation-adjusted value of the federal minimum wage the year I graduated from college. It is immoral, indecent, and unchristian that people who do honest work for a living have increased their productivity and still have seen the buying power of their wages decline.

MessageI think it is only fair that the minimum wage in NC be raised by $1.00. I couldn't live if I had to live on the minimum wage and even on my salary I have to use a lot of positive thinking and creativity to survive and survive well.
