| Message | At the last reunion, some members visited the RBL club in Blackpool. They told me that a member of staff there was a 3 Para vet who had been at Arnhem and was now in his 90s but going strong. I thought to invite him to next years reunion, as a guest. I contacted the club and was told that there was indeed an Arnhem vet on the staff and explained what the call was about. The lady said that he would probably be reluctant to even come to the phone as he 'didn't like that sort of thing'! I persisted and eventually spoke to him and told him about the reunion etc. Unfortunately,he refused the invite, abruptly (!) and couldn't be persuaded otherwise. The lady had been correct! Old and definitely bold! However, it might be worth trying again - he might change his mind. Regards Terry Carroll Chairman |

| Message | Sad news of the passing of a comrade and friend. I refer to David Marsden previously of Junior Para (1963) and 3 Para drums platoon. Having suffered a long and cruel illness, he died recently. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. |

| Message | Please see below Dear All members, friends and supporters, We are pleased to announce that our website has been updated with April/May 2014 pictures. If you click on Garden 7 you will find a picture of the Pegasus Bridge Memorial Flight that we are currently raising funds for. This is undergoing structural design arrangements at the moment prior to submitting our application to the National Memorial Arboretum It also sports a BT MyDonate button where online donations can be made easily and securely. This is available because we have recently been granted Charity Status. We are in the process of applying to HMRC for Gift Aid Status and all of this will help with our future finances. We remind everyone that our next event will be on Saturday 14th June 2014, when we will be officially opening the Falklands Memorial Way and unveiling the Falkland Islanders Resistance plaque.
