MessageGreat to see so many familiar names - was good to see so many people in London for the Falklands reunion. Excelent idea to have an "exclusive" 3 Para site!

MessageMy name is Roger Payne and I served in the 60's in 1 Para, Maida and Browning Barracks, number 23851948. I have just had a e-book accepted in the US. It's caled 'Swinging Under A Red Beret' and is full of short humerous stories from the brigade written in the langage we used - F's, C's, T's, W's etc. Now I want to go one better and write a second book of about 250 tales and am looking for more short funny stories. 10% of what I make from both books will go to an airbrone charity. I was hoping that some of you might contribute. Looking forward to some sick, humerous, weird tales.

MessageRe Bn Memorial Service.
I have spoken to the RSM and it is confirmed as 22 November in Colchester. Because of security considerations the Bn does not want time and location published openly. These can be obtained from me (07816 870973 or 0121 243 8863 - Wk)or George Duffus (07813 020040) by word of mouth!
However, I can tell you that there will be food and refreshments afterwards in the Bn cookhouse and the RSM has kindly offered an invitation to all members to the WO & Sgts Mess on the evening of 21 Nov, for those who are interested.
If you want attend then let me or George know as the Bn needs numbers by 11 Nov latest.
Dress (obviously) suit/blazers with Bn or Regt tie.

If you can get Spots e-mail address that would be great, or you could pass mine on to him. Tell him his old mate is looking for him, as we lost touch. ([email protected]).

MessageHello 3 Para, hope you are all well,
I served in the "old" (Regular) 3 Royal Anglian,(Disbanded halfway through a Londonderry tour in 1992-BLOODY GOVT !!!).
I was in 3.R.Ang from 1979 to 1988.(Did a few good tours , drank lots of beer and entertained lots of "Respectable" Women....it was great!!!!)
Basically, what a "crap hat" is doing on your site must be a bit confusing to you all,but when I left the Army,I ended up in the Fire Service(Herts;Fire and Rescue.), and did my training with "Monkey Boy"...Dave Doneo.
Does anybody have the old boys contact details,as our training Squad are planning a 20 year reunion, when we all get our "long service and undetected crime medals". (It,s 2 years away, but there are other blokes that we are trying to track down aswell,so we might as well start now.)
Dave transferred out of our Brigade and went up North somewhere....haven,t heard from him since.
I am in touch with Tim Dedman from your Bn.if anybody is looking for him. He is a Sub.Officer in our Brigade.
Any help that any of you can give me on Dave would be the nuts!
Good luck to you all, especially if you get deployed to Afgan/Iraq!!!!
Cheers
