MessageIt is with great sadness that I have today been informed of the death of David (Nobby) Clark who has died in Spain of a blood clot on 28 August 2008. Regretfully his wife Sue had no contact details for the regiment to contact us and had to use the SAMA site to pass this sad message on again with sadness the funeral has already taken place with none of his mates to mourn his passing. We send our sincere condolences to Sue and her family. I will write to Sue to let her know we are now aware of his passing and our sadness. Nobby was one of the great characters in the late 70s early 80s, of the Anti Tank Platoon 3 Para if I can say Nobby was a Pl Sgts nightmare who became a very good friend and I as one will miss his passing. His good friends if anyone knows there locations can pass this message on about this sad news, Jim Fearan, Charlie Hardwick, Gordie Nick, Gordie Maddocks, Terry Martin, Mark Hammill,Denzil Connick, Steve Knight, Russ Russell, these blokes I know will be heart broken to hear this news. To Sue and her family we send you our heart felt condolences, to hear of her sad loss. Nobby was a great soldier bloke and friend. I can only finish by saying this is a sad sad day for everyone who came into contact with Nobby a great character lost. RIP

MessageTommy
You failed to say FOC 2006 have made a LARGE donation to the charity holding the Blackpool fund raiser and I understand monies raised at the FOC 10 miler in the shot will also be going to the fund organised by Dave Singletary of the 2para Reunion club.
The date for the 10 miler was arranged at the FOC AGM in Brecon in May it is just bad luck it is the same weekend.
What ever DO you go to dig deep its all going to the same cause.
I HOPE THE P&P DINNER WILL HAVE A COLLECTION FOR THE SAME FUND smilie

MessageJust so that everybody knows.

The weekend 22/23 Nov is a busy weekend. Besides the Past & Present Dinner & the Blackpool event, there is also the FOC P Company 10 miler in the Shot.

It starts at the Traf at 1000 on Sat 22nd & goes around the old P company testing areas such as Hungry Hill, Caesars Camp, Jubilee Firs, Tweeseldown, Long Valley, Miles Hill Etc.
The tab is done at walking/sightseeing pace & takes about 4/5 hours. Brews & Scoff will be supplied for free about halfway round!
Saturday evening see's the "FOC 10 miler party" in the Traf.
It's like a mini Airborne Forces Day.
If you're not going to the P&P or Blackpool, get your arse down to the Shot, you're bound to meet some old mates!

Most people come down Friday to Sunday!

A weekend not to be missed!
