Looking to find out if John "mad mitch" Mitchell is still around. He was a Cpl with Jnr Para in 1980, think he left the Army in 1991. He was quite a character.

He has a website but it hasn't been updated for a number of years.

MessageHello my father passed away 2 weeks ago and he was 86 He was British and served in 3 & 4 Para in England during WW2. His name was Stuart Roy Arnold and I found this site while thinking of him. He had the Airborne boys come to his funeral and was great support for me and the family.
To me he is now a fallen hero for many reasons,

I will miss him very much

MessageAnother two soldiers killed in Northern Ireland,
Simple question.
The northern Ireland guard service is armed and they are responsible for the security of the camps. There was a sanger were the two soldiers were killed . Why did no one try and help those who were Shot dead.???????
