MessageGuys, For those of you who don’t know. This year’s photographs of the reunion are entered on the website. If you have looked before, I have just added another row, in case you were looking for yourselves (vanity rearing its ugly head). If I have missed you out you are either to good looking for this presentation (unlikely) or you haven’t paid me - you choose!! Seriously if you attend regularly and I have missed you yet again grab me next year and I will get you on - no money involved. I have also updated the membership list, if your name is missing please contact me directly and don’t go via the website.
..
I have added new names to the In Memorium section for friends that we have lost this year. You may want to look in with happy memories.

Now that I am back in the land of the living and back on solids after Blackpool I would just like to take this opportunity to thank Terry AND his team for an excellent bash. I didn't realise that the reunion actually went on after 2100hrs!!!! Its amazing what a seat on the top table does for you!!!!
You are clear of the aircraft.....Carry on!...... [email protected]

MessageGreat photos on here of this years Blackpool reunion, well done Bernie McClory. I've only just realised that the other bar must have been open as we wondered where everybody else was!! Would love to see the photo Jim Bishop took at the Dinner of the gorgious blonde sitting on his 92 year old mates lap. He was still smiling the next morning, some people have all the luck.

MessageHello to everybody.
Just a post to say how well the reunion in Blackpool went - another great weekend, I thought. It was nice to have General Peter Chiswell, Major Gordon Muirhead (QM 3 Para) and WO1 Morgan Bridge (RSM 3 Para) and their ladies present. 148 sat down to the Gala Dinner, which is nearly 30 more than last year. Once again over 20 ladies graced the event.
The RSM has kindly invited the club to hold the reunion in his mess in Colchester next year and this was proposed at the AGM. Although this did not meet with unanimous approval because Blackpool has proved very popular (I am glad to say,)it was carried. (NB. I have already provisionally booked the Metropole for 2011).
The RSM wants to lay on an afternoon with members of the battalion followed by a dinner (type tbc) in the evening. He has promised to hold down the drink prices, before anyone asks!! Accomodation will be a problem, particularly for couples but he is making enquiries locally.
Personally, I am glad to return to our 'roots' because we will not be able to in 2011 and 2012.
Regards to all

Messagemy mate has been toying with a forum to chat and post for 3para members, its in its early days but its should bring past and present members of the Regiment closer together,it costs nothing to join, and at the moment it could do with some ideas to get it going, its only an idea for now,but if it comes off, great,if not nothing lost.Daz. smilie

MessageOnly 3 weeks away from my end of tour and passing out after 21 years. Constantly indebted and in awe of our plattoon commander Samuel(skull)Adams, who saved my life along with private Will Ryan, Toby Jenkins when we were ambushed by terrorists in Basra, may 2003. A man loved and respected by all who served alongside him in many bloody missions. Respect and love to a man i strive to emulate. D. Taylor, Helmand Province, december 18, 2008.
