| Message | Received on gmail Good morning. I’m trying to get in contact with Tony Dunn, having lost contact with him a number of years ago. Tony and my dad, Eddie Humphreys {ex 1 & 3 PARA 1964-1979.} were good mates back in the day. My dad passed away in 1998 and the last time that I saw Tony was at my dad’s funeral. I know that Tony joined the police after leaving the Paras, but he would be retired by now. If you’re still in contact with Tony, I would be grateful if you could pass on my work email address to him. Sean.HUMPHREYS@police.wa.gov.au> Kind regards. Sean Humphreys |

| Message | Message from Paula about Alan (Smudge) Smith wake after the service. Details attached. Paula has requested that Smudges 3Para Guys carry the coffin at the Crematorium if you are fit & willing to do so please message me. Mick Wattan has agreed to Marshall the standards. Will see you there early Mick please. Hi George, as we were unable to get the Sherwood, we have sorted out an alternative venue for the wake after the funeral - details are The Phoenix 2 High Lane Ridgeway Sheffield S12 3XF It's a similar direction to the Sherwood, only approx 3 miles from the crematorium If you could distribute please. Many thanks xxxxxx |

| Message | Ladies & Gents Good evening. since my last note on the 3 Para reunion Club Website. I can confirm I have spoken to Paula Smith again this evening and can confirm the details of the Funeral of WO2 Alan (Smudge) Smith. 3 Para will be at the City Road Crematorium 484 City Road Sheffield S2 1GD at 3.15pm on Thursday 02 November 2017. A wake will be held after the service location as yet TBC but it will be in one of Smudges many local hostelries. I can confirm that Alan passed away in his sleep on Saturday 21 October 2017 of a severe heart attack. Alan had not previously been ill prior so we were all shocked and stunned to say the least on Saturday when the news of Alan's death was broken to us. The family has requested Family Flowers only but would like any donations to go to the Airborne Forces Security Fund which looks after all our Parachute Regiment & ABF Veterans. They would like the Regiment to be represented at the service and would like Regimental Standards to be present to honor Alan and his passing. I will let members know when the location of the wake has been decided by the family. Paula is holding up well and is on a whirlwind at the moment with her family at her side to support her in sorting out Alan's final wishes. Paula would like to thank everyone or the kind messages and support she has received from everyone especially Alan's Airborne Brothers. God Bless All & Rest In Peace This Totally Loyal Gentleman & Airborne Worrier. With all my heart I will miss you |
