| Message | Hello, this is Jack Burkhardt's daughter. I'm saddened to have to leave this message, but my father passed away on December 18, 2022. His wife of 64 years, Barbara preceded him in death. The memory picture boards contained photos of the reunions he and my mother attended. Hence my research and luckily located this site! Take care everyone. And best wishes for you all in 2023. |

| Message | Sad to report, Leon Ramshaw passed away yesterday morning, Dec. 28th. Leon reported aboard the Spangler in April 1955 and remained aboard when the ship underwent decommissioning in 1958. He was part of the quartermaster group and a very personal friend of mine. He will be sorely missed! |
