| Message | I am from a small place called the Bay of Islands; which is in New Zealand. I met Caroll in Russell whilst I was there with my dad who played in the band. He is a spectacular guy and his wife is equally wonderful. We were penpals for years but, I have since lost his address due to me being useless and not updating it when he sent me a new one. Anyway, I'm glad there is a site for fans and can definitely say I am a big fan of an amazing special being. Who by the way, happens to have a girls name according to kiwis haha! Oh and if or when you do see them, please send my regards and thanks for the chocolate pudding  |

| Message | Dear Big Bird, This is Xiao Foo, the little tour guide of "Big Bird in China" back in 1983. I don't know if this message will eventually reach you. Few years ago, I tried to call you when I was in Canada but couldn't make it. Big Bird in China is my most precious memories. I still remember Debby held me in her arms and allowed me to play with her beautiful long hair. I have been working with a US investment bank since graduated in 2003. Now preparing my first US visit in June. Jeni, I wonder if you could pls help me reach Big Bird. Your help will be greatly appreciated. |

| Message | Born in 1982, I always tell everyone the Muppets helped raise me. The Muppets and Dr. Seuss, where would children be without their creative influence? From age 4-11ish, I was going to be a puppeteer (with intermittent dreams of Clown School). Now as a theatre student, and I'm sure my mom partially blames Sesame Street for this, I get the chance to immerse myself in a creative discipline and couldn't be happier. I'm a month from my Master's degree and am heading for my Phd in the fall, but my imagination and my spirit is still back in the 1980s with my Muppet friends on Sesame Street. Thank you Mr. Spinney for not just educating and entertaining, but for inspiring. |

| Message | I am 30 years of age, and had a stuffed talking oscar the grouch when i was smaller. Although I had forgotten him over the years, I recently went in search to locate one of these little guys, so my ten year old daughter could take her imageination to a different level, as i did when I was her age. Upon doing this, I came to relize that I had more in common with oscar the grouch then planned, well either him, or carroll spinney! I think that the statement at the award ceromony was all me, upon hearing it, and the way he talks about life, and i just thought it was a sesame street thing, thanks for the surprize and amuzment you have given us all!!! thanks from tabatha st. charles |
