| Message | Hi,my name is david,i was diagnosed with having mild epilepsy which in turn led to the discovery of a pituitary tumour(marco)which in turn is the root cause of having an underactive thyroid gland, having read some of the stories i concider myself lucky as not only did my G.P recognize the systoms,i also had a great team of doctors/consultants in two hospitals in which i am attending at the moment.i've only had my little friend for just over a year but from what i have been told i will have him for the rest of my life, taking the medication was never a problem and though i was a bit apprehensive at first i now see the benefits of having one.Because of the medication i have now abstained from drinking alcohol(yes, a sober irishman) and my weight has dropped from 14stone???lbs to 11stone 12lb family members and friends pass remarks on how well i look,i know concider myself to be fitter and healthier than i was 5year ago.(im 44 this year) So to all those with pituitary tumours its not all doom and gloom as there are positive sides to having one(i am recommending one to all my friends)so to those that have had surgery and those who have been told(like i was twice)that they will be going under the knife i wish you all the very best of luck! |
