MessageHi,
Very interesting and well presented site! The Fredbox article is fascinating and has re-kindled my interest in AM.I think it's high time I got my soldering iron out and start building again!

MessageHI Roger-just read your article in PW & enjoyed visiting your webpage-I used to be on 2m AM in the mid-70s with a Pye Cambridge Xtal controlled & got a Liner 2 in March 1975-WOW-the nostalgia! You'll be glad to know i've just subscribed to your am group as well!

I'm afraid I am somewhat isolated up here in Kelso to have much chance of AM QSOs but I will be following the goings-on with great interest. Severe short-sight rules out much home-brewing for me i'm afraid, but I've just got myself a shiny new FT-817ND - DSP & it's already programmed up with all the AM QRGs in addition to all the more usual stuff!

I hope your group grows from strength to strength & I will be watching/visiting it with much interest to see what transpires. I'm mostly a keen HF QRP CW man + VHF/UHF on CW whenever I get the chance but I just love to wallow in nostalgia from time to time & if I ever get the chance to interest the locals up here to give AM a whirl I'll try to encourage them!

... Now ehre oh where did I lay that 145.8MHz xtal I used to have ...

73 & best wishes from Derrick, GM4CXP, IO85SO, Kelso, Scottish Borders.
