MessageI am looking for information about my Gx4 grandfather, Thomas Stuart Harris. I believe he was christened in the Abbey on the 23/3/1769. His parents were John Harris and Sofia Stuart Bourne. Do you have any details of other children of John and Sofia christened in the Abbey and can you confirm if Thomas was christened in the Abbey. This is a wonderful site and I hope to visit the Abbey in the not too distant future.
Thanks Paula

MessageI am a direct descendant of Rev. Buck[e] who left Wymondham Parish and went to Jamestown, Virginia in 1610. He was the first minister of the Virginia House of Burgesses. I was lucky enough to visit the Abbey in 1990 and see a beautiful plaque in his honor. I am looking for any information about his history/ancestry in the U.K. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Keep up the good work - the Abbey took my breath away with its beauty.

MessageMy husband & I were married in the Abbey less than 3 weeks ago. It was the most wonderful day, & the service conducted by Fr Martin Eastwood was lovely. Most of our guests had not visited the Abbey before, & all commented on the beautiful building as well as the service itself The music was excellent (Thank you Choir & Howard Thomas), & I cannot thank you enough for making our day so special, with God at its centre.

MessageI was pleased to see a website dedicated to this wonderful abbey. My husband and i married there in 1997 then moved away. We have recently moved back to wymondham and love it here. We visited the abbey today, and fond memories came flooding back, its the most beautiful place to get married in, and holds lots of special memmories for us. Its good to visit the website and read about the history of the place. smilie smilie

MessageWhat a brilliant and comprehensive website. Samuel Martin Jones, Vicar, 1911-1932 was my great uncle, who had 4 brothers and a sister, Gertrude, my paternal grandmother. Samuel's eldest brother, Spencer John Jones was Vicar of Moreton in Marsh, Gloucestershire 1888-1932, longest serving Rector there. I wonder if anyone in Wymondham knows of any of Samuel's descendants as I have no details of my father's cousins?

MessageLovely webiste and what a treat to break up the day. My parents were married in the Abbey in 1972. We currently reside in Michigan. I've not been back to Wymonham since 1993. Am looking forward to another visit as my Grandmother is over on White Horse Street.
