MessageI am researching my family history and believe that the Clarke family had strong connections with the church c 1818. The curate (Henry Tacy) encouraged at least one of them to join the CMS. I would love to find out more about them. smilie

MessageI came across this website as I was looking to find my old choir master from All Saints Carshalton Howard Thomas and I think I have found him! You are a very lucky place to have Howard in charge of your music - he inspired me when I was young to enjoy choral music and 30 years on I still do with a passion in the Waynflete Singers based at Winchester Cathedral.

Enjoy your music Wymondham Abbey!

MessageGREAT ABBEY
My wife and i were visiting our son and his partner who live in the village, and they showed us around the abbey. We asked if we could take a few photgraphs of the alter and you went as far as turning on the lights for us( dont know if you remember) The photos turned out really good considering we were inside. Would just like to add we really enjoyed looking around the abbey and will return on our next visit Would really recommend this abbey if anyone is in the area.

MessageI just wanted to share my memories of Fr David Hunter with you, Fr David was our vicar of St Boniface in Paignton, Devon from 1978, Me and my Sisters were in his choir, and he was a great help and dear, dear friend to us as a family. He ate with us every Saturday. I will always remember him as a happy smiling man, who wore a big black cloak and flew around everywhere on his motorbike, or in a very old Renault 5! I was only 9 when I met him, but he was an ewnormous part of our lives. So much so that I have been trying to trace him for some time, only to find that I found him too late!
He was a one in a million, and the world will be a slightly sadder place without him in it!
From the whole Hutchings family, from Paignton, our late condolonces to his widow, and thank you for the opportunity of letting me sign your guest book.
