MessageHave a strong affection for this church. Some of my
Corbould and Betts relatives are named on the WW1 memorials and I spent a lot of time as a youth at my great aunt's cottage on Station Road (now gone). The station is still there as is the cemetery where I have many relatives.
Hope to make a return visit sometime soon and re-visit this underrated but magnificent building

MessageHappy Birthday to Wymondham Abbey. I was baptised there as a baby and lived in Wymondham untill I was 10 years old. My grandfather Herbert L Semmence, my father Clement G. Semmence and my uncle Gordon Semmence served the Abbey well, along with my sister, brother and cousins.

Lovely to see these pictures when I am so far from home.
Thank you.

MessageI visited the Abbey last week and I congratulate you on the very informative celebratory magazine I received. As a cild I sang in the Abbey choir, standing beside my Grandmother, Mabel Semmence and my cousin Rosalind Semmence. I noted with affection the 'Legend of Guide Anna' on Page 26. Is there any small chance you could scan and e-mail tp me a copy of the photograph? I believe I am the guide on the far left of the photo. I should love to have it as a 'keep-sake.

Congratulations also to all who keep the Abbey looking so beautiful.

Yours sincerely
Judy Crane (NeƩ Semmence)

MessageI live right near the Wymondham Abbey. The Beacon has been great! The sounds are spooky at night and the lights are beautiful! The drumming the other night was excellent too. My dog and I love a stroll round in the dark (it isn't easy picking up the poo but don't worry, we always manage this by torch-light!. Shame its ending - we shall miss it.

Rachael
