MessageGood on you boys! I have always thought that catches win matches, and that there were fielding awards. Well done young Nick in your first grade debut. Wish I could be over there to watch. smilie

MessageLike 'big brother' i to have known Adrian 'Slothboy' Ezquerro for many years and can second the comments made in relation to Adrian's catching style, in fact Adrian has chosen to practise such techniques several times over the years off my bowling turning absolute sitters into blithering messes and eventually ball hitting grass.
.
Oh yeah, and if you happen to catch him sleeping for long periods of time, for example, 16-18 hours a day dont be alarmed, its all part of his sloth-like characteristics.

MessageBig Brother - Adrians catch was 'better' than it's written in the report you quote. Some of those present, who have watched the side for umpteen years said it was the finest catch they had seen - it really was an awesome take. But if you say it's all part of an inner thespian talent then so be it, but more of the same this summer please - coz with more effort like it took to hold that one THIS WILL BE THE SEASON !

Message"A mini revival began with South African Steve Dembitzer top scoring for his side with 18 from the number seven slot but when he went caught at deep mid off by Ezquerro who ran some twenty yards before taking a stunning ‘over the shoulder’ catch off the bowling of skipper Joel Murphy it was to signal the beginning of the end."

Guys, dont let Adrian's catching style fool you- regulation style catches are quite often transformed into "spectacular" leaping dives just so he can get the plaudits.... With years of practice in the local park he has honed this 'academy award winning' catching technique!! lol
