MessageWell done Bradninch! Another fine performance which continues to show the depth of your side. Not a huge amount of input from the Bratpack this time round. Brilliant bowling from your 'Aussie' and great input from Gary Newell! So, "interested third party", just take a quick squint at the top six in the A Division to put things in perspective:

Bradninch 171
Bovey Tracey 140
Cornwood 125
Brixham 125
Braunton 123

Makes great reading from where I'm standing!

Well done Bradnich!

MessageOh come on.This must be Bradninch CC club member having a bit of a laugh.Surely nobody with links to another club would use our guestbook to try and put a cat amongst our high flying pigeons.
If you are a member of the chasing pack, maybe you should spend your time practising your cricket and not writing such rubbish.
Looking forward to welcoming Ali P, Ali G and whoever else you wish to bring to BCC.
PS Good luck with your new medication.

MessageThankyou for the comments Pipes Senior (father of Tim I'm guessing).

As far as I see it, you've got very lucky with the weather so far this season and as previous years would suggest, you always fall just short by losing games you shouldn't. You still have to play Cornwood away which you never win, Barton away which is always tricky and Bovey at home who always perform at your ground and good luck facing Ali Pasha on your track!

Lose both those games and you could find yourself in 3rd and missing out again! What a shame that would be!

So come on, let's see what you have!

MessageAs one interested 'third party' to another, I would simply like who ever you are (and it would be a tad more mature not to hide behind a nom de plume!)to contemplate a couple of things. Forgetting the so-called youngsters in the team, Bradninch fields an experienced home-grown foursome in the form of Murphy, Davey, Webb and Nott. All four of these characters are key elements to the balance of the team. Then come the two excellent 'overseas' lads who have been integral in building the side's depth and ability to surprise. Have a quick look at the A League stats just to put that in perspective. Oh, and then you come to the 'famous five' or 'Brat-pack' made up of the two Actons (Ross and Elliot), Gary, Dan and Tim. They may all be young but they are certainly not inexperienced as they have all come through Martin Webb's Devon Youth sides in some way and he doesn't allow too much leeway when it comes to failing! Any one who saw Dan Hardy's quite excellent 95 against Somerset II's (half of which were in fact that county's first team)would retract any comment about inexperience. With the experience gained through playing for the county and combined with their determination to succeeed for their Club, they are a force to be reckoned with. So who ever you are, come out from behind your cloak of secrecy and reveal your real reason for making these unintelligent comments.
I for one have every confidence that Bradninch will soon be elevated to the Premier.
Good luck to you all!

MessageOk, prove me wrong then. Lets see if you boys are in the top 2 come the end of the season!

As fas as I see it, your side is too young and will choke under the pressure. Too much inexperience. Whereas other sides eg Bovey, Cornwood, have players who have been there, done that and this will give them the edge!

Yes, you may arugably on paper you have the best side but experience counts for a lot.

Youngsters such as Ross Acton, Dan Hardy, Gary Chappell perform week in, week out against the easier opposition when the pressure is off but how will they fare when the going gets tough and it all gets a bit close and tense?

Prove me wrong young'ens!

MessageTwo or three teams more adapted..... who might they be? Bovey who we beat? Brixam who we beat? Barton who we were on course to beat easily. If you want to say something stupid at least let it be known who you are and where your from so we can laugh at you stupidity!!!

MessageWith the weather for the rest of the summer as it's forecasted, it looks like you boys may somehow get into the Premier, even though there are 2 or 3 sides clearly more adapted for life in the top flight!

Keep on raining is the praying call from the Bradninch contingent!

MessageGreat to see the interest building and from wide and far too. Aussie Mum - we love your comments and support, keep it up and many thanks for giving us such a fantastic cricketing role model and performer. Austin, very pleased to hear you were at the ground recently and very envious of your trip to Brixham. You obviously helped and had you not been stuck in traffic, no doubt we would have turned the game around earlier. Good to know you are able to share the fruits of all those many hours of committee time you gave, not so many years ago. Thanks from me too Steve (brilliant reports) and Rowland (our webmaster and unsung hero) - the website is truly buzzing.

MessageWhat a successful week-end.... Sat 1st, Sat 2nds, Sun 1st all winning over the past week-end, thereby maintaining the Club's aim to win promotion to both top flights for the (Saturday) Devon Cricket League and to take the Championship for the Sunday North Devon League...... all in one season too!

Very nice also to see the growing numbers of supporters for all the teams on the day and from the overseas fan-club

Keep it up, folks!
