| Message | We sure are thinking of you all at this time. My words are not enough to comfort it seems. I just wanted to pass something along though. I hope the time is right, but my aunt loaned me a book to read called, "90 minutes in Heaven" by Don Piper. He died in a car wreck for 90 minutes, went to Heaven, and then came back to life. I am always leary of stories like this, but he was a pastor and was a Christian before the accident. Anyway, it is an awesome book for anyone to read I think. As I read, I wondered what my prayers for Shane should be because this guy had many people praying that he would live and he did. Anyway, Shane was really on my heart while reading. I ran across a couple of verses in there that I want to pass along. A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need. Proverbs 17:17 -That may be for Shane's blood brothers and for his brothers in the Lord. God Bless. Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strenghten you. I will help you. I will hold you with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10 God will bless all of you for all of your hard work in being with Shane and no one can take those precious memories from you. | Message | Dear family of Shane, I am praying for all of you. Shane was just one heck of a guy and a good person. I don't think you guys will ever know how many people Shane effected through his never give up attitude. He was a shining example of what all of us should do when times get tough, smile and keep fighting. I always thought of Shane when I heard that line on one of those movies when they talked about the mouse getting dropped into a bucket of milk and he kept fighting and struggling, churning the milk until he made the milk into cheese and walked out of the bucket. Shane was definitely that type. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers. I will never forget Shane and his attitude towards the world. |
