| Message | Trisha and others wondering about Cord,
I'll be happy to post something on here as I learn it, or you could send questions to teditor@cox.net. Cord also has a Web site, and his family hopes to update information on it when possible: cordmccoy.com. Go to the news section, then click on the update link.
Things are still looking up. I stopped by the hospital this evening, and there are a lot of positive things. They're not allowing as many visitors today because they believe there was some added stress in that for him because he had so many visitors yesterday.
The surgery went well, and Cord has been improving rapidly. He's been speaking some, though the extent of his injury and the medication he's on has limited that some. They've done tests on him, and he's done well with those.
He's still in ICU, but the family is hoping he'll be out of there Wednesday. It all depends. As you can understand, he's doing much better, but it's all relative. When he was kicked, there is actually a circular break in his skull, and that inner circle was pushed toward his brain. The surgery was to relieve pressure and to pull that piece of bone back in place.
If you'd care to send wishes to Cord, please feel free to send them through my e-mail. I will take them to the hospital as I get them.
And Shane, keep grinding those spurs, kid. My daily prayers still point northward.
