MessageHi. This is my first time on the guestbook. I did my first Webroom chat last night and loved meeting other MSers.
I am 35 and had my first relapse when I was 15. I now have Secondary Progressive MS and I (walk) stumble along with an elbow crutch. I can't walk far so I also have a scooter.
I inject Avonex once a week and feel pretty crap the day after the injection. Who knows if it is doing anything for me. But I'm too scared to stop and what else is there?!
Sorry that sounds a bit me me me! I am so lucky that I am still working (for my brother-in-law) 4 mornings a week. I just love getting out of the house!
Cheers x

MessageI've had Transverse Myelitis 6 times over the past year and the docs have not figured out the underlying disease. There's been no work in trying to control this disease through diet so I am attracted to the research in the MS field to try and control my disease.
Anyone else out there trying this for TM? Would love to hear from you: [email protected].
THANKS for the site! I read about it in the MS Recovery Diet book.

Hi All
I was diagnosed with MS at some point in the late nineties. I'm no longer able to work (I'm not happy about that) My MS is Relapse Remitting so I'm OK alot of the time I've only had about 5 or 6 relapses (And I only get worse) I was assigned a carer Last time (To teach me to walk again (Don't laugh). I was on a MS drugs trial in October 2008 & it worked for me well. And some time later in the year I'll be getting the drugs again & I cant wait (Whilst I was on the trial I gave up using my walking stick but I'm using it again now). Any way I Hope everyone else is managing well.
Best Regards

Herbie

MessageHi, I was diagnosed a couple of weeks ago, aged 44 and thank goodness amidst all the doom and gloom I found on the internet (particularly around PPMS) I found this site as well. I'm still struggling to come to terms with what it might all mean both now and in the future, especially as I was also made redundant 4 days before my diagnosis, which complicates things even futher! It's great to see from this site that there is a positive and vibrant community of people living successfully with MS and I fully intend to be one of you. smilie

MessageI am an MS patient and full time veterinarian (both large and small animal). I was diagnosed Dec. 2007 and am doing well on Rebif. Loved all the information on your site particularly the new research - anything to keep me active and going and practicing. Thanks!
