MessageMy daughter was dx with MS at the age of 16 last year. She is currently dealing with an exacerbation that caused a hospitalization of now over 8 weeks. Sometimes I think it is more difficult for me to deal with her dx as it is for her. I do need help if anyone has any to offer. smilie

MessageHi Everybody,

I stumbled onto this site looking for a yeast free diet. It's very interesting to see that the trigger for MS could be as simple as leaky gut and lack of sunshine. I was lactose intolerant as a child and have suffered from leaky gut since college. It certainly seems to fit.

I was diagnosed in 2002. I'm currently in the Clinical Trial for fingolomod. It's due to come out this summer from Novartis. It's an immunosupressant developed for transplant recipients. The trial levels of the drug are very low to reduce side effects. I've been flare up free since starting the trial last Feb. Of course I could be on placebo but if I am don't tell me. It's so nice to take a pill every day instead of shots. It's very exciting. Moderate activity is easy, and I can even jog a bit.

I am looking forward to making dietary changes that can increase energy and strength.
smilie
