I was at your parents wedding and your Mom and another friend, Vi and I all went to Europe together(a long time ago). I have been praying for you and your family for a long time. I am SO sorry to hear of your Mom's troubles now. She is a strong, wonderful person and has always been a great example for me. Your Aunt Beverly gave me your blog address. I just wanted you to know that I care and am praying always for all of you and trust that God knows what is best for us even though it is not always easy to wait for the reason for His answer. | Message | Derron, thanks so much for letting us know your perspectives on a day-by-day basis. You and your Mom continue to be in our prayers. Your section on Heaven was precious. Our Small Group has recently studied Randy Alcorn's Book, Heaven, 2004, Tyndale Publishing. We have gained an enhanced general understanding of what heaven is going to be like. He does have a fertile creativity, so we're a little doubtful about some of the details in the book. We look forward to keeping in touch. Don Taylor |

| Message | Hi, Deron - I am working off our home computer and already tried to enter a comment that I am not sure went through. It has been a crazy couple weeks with the holidays - I have been out of touch. I am sorry to hear that you are having illness on top of the CF - and hope that your trip to the U tomorrow sheds more light on or offers more treatment options. I am also praying that you are able to rest tonight. I am concerned, not getting an answer when I called your house earlier - hopefully you had all gone to bed and turned off the phone. Your observations about simple joys is so true - in tough times,we seem to see more clearly the beauty in small things - things that we take for granted like the innocence and freshness of young children. Tonight I saw northern lights as I picked up grandsons at church. I have never seen them here, and there was such beauty. The boys were impresssed; Samuel said it looked like God was shining light down from heaven. I like that explanation. I will be praying and looking for news that you are feeling better. Beth |
