MessageDoug,

We have been following your progress with great excitement. We hoped to be able to journey to Annapolis to see you, but couldn't get away from work. I had a sudden breakthrough yesterday with introduction in Congress of a bill I've been working toward for many, many years and had to do swift work to get the word out and look for additional sponsors for the bill.

Thanks for all that you do for CCI. Puppy raisers are so special! Galaxy is my second hearing dog from CCI and the perfect match in every possible way.

May the trip home be fleet and your body recover from the punishment quickly.

Warm regards,
Cheryl Heppner and Galaxy II

MessageDoug, meeting you and your family tonight and watching you ride into Annapolis brought great joy to me. I am very honored to be associated through CCI with such terrific people.

My SD Mahler was wagging up a storm that he could hand you the muffins and cinnamon buns. Thanks for coming over and to all of you for making this night happen and for your generosity of spirit.

Enjoy the muffins and rest..... Nanc and Mahler smilie

MessageHey Doug!

Listen, as soon as you roll into Annapolis, could you ride over here and take a look at my computer? I'm having some...not!

You think you're a bit sore now? Man, you are going to get absolutely clobbered with hugs and high fives and low tens for the next two months from family and friends! We should have a MASH unit on call for you and your support team for the loving pounding you'll be receiving!

And then you've got to figure out how you are ever going to put this incredible, amazing, wonderful, astounding, draining, exhilarating, numbing, transforming experience into words!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention when you were pushing off from Oceanside that we're having a special 'Welcome Home Doug' worship service this Friday night and we're counting on you speaking for about 40 minutes and then Q-and-A for another 15-20 minutes. I'm thinking that'll be fine with you, right? The service begins at 7:30, so I'll invite you to the pulpit no later than 8:15 and you'll dazzle us til about 9:15, okay?

Ride happy and healthy, you're coming home!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and everyone who has been there for you along the way!

Elliot
