| Message | Hey Doug, It's just past midnight here in Dresher, and my butt hurts. I don't know about yours, but mine really does. I've been sitting on the couch for about three hours with Susan and our boys watching '24' and I can't believe how uncomfortable I am. Susan asked me to get up and see if there are any iced teas in the frig, and I said - and I admit right off the bat that it's not too gallant - "Get up? My butt hurts from sitting scrunched up on the couch with no place to put my feet!" And the other thing you need to know - I mean, I would normally say, "I hope you're sitting down" but I realize I can't say that to you now, given what you're doing - is that your team of experts has you on the wrong coordinates. I mean, I understand that people make mistakes, and lucky for them it was around 2 in the morning, but they have you on the wrong damn road! And they're too embarassed to tell you, so they've been driving on ahead, changing road signs and destination markers, and I'm sure that when you arrive in Annapolis two days later than planned, it will all be explained. I mean, fatigue hits everyone, right? Not just you on the bike, but your team in the van as well. Hey, I got tired tonight after watching a couple of episodes of '24' which I think is kind of interesting only in that you're on your tricycle for 24/12, right? Oh, add two days for the wrong turns. Sorry. My guess is that no one will read this to you til you cross the finish line. Elliot |
