| Message | SAHB were the first live band I ever saw, in Oxford back in 1975 or 6. Still in the top three or four shows I've seen. Also seeing the boys erforming Next on OGWT back in 73 was a formative experence fr me. Vambo Rules Ok?  |

| Message | When SAHB played in the Salutation Hotel in Perth circa 1973, I got up on stage, gave Zal a big kiss and danced wi Alex for a minute or so until the bouncers got me and launched me out of the venue. Fortunately I only lived along the street so I nipped home, changed my clothes threw on a woolie hat and wandered right back in to see the rest of the show.......It was awsome....I then saw SAHB in the Perth City Hall and this time I was introduced to Alex through my sisters boss, Mr Faheely from Top Flight, was lovely to have had the opportunity to say hello to Alex, I remember I was so surprised at how gentle and unassuming he was, very quiet spoken and not like the guy that had been on stage screaming Next and Vambo Rools at the top of his voice. The last time I saw SAHB was at the Jazz Bilzen Festival in Masstricht 1973/4. SAHB were on along with a truly amazing line up of bands and artists like Focus, Greenslade,Mungo Jerry, Manfred Mann, Rod Stewart and the Faces and many more...... Thank you for the memories Mr Alex Harvey and the band......... |

| Message | First gig i ever went to at Sheffield City Hall in 1976. At 13 years old Alex became my hero, and he remains so to this day. Best band ever. God bless. |

| Message | I read a recent Cleveland Plain Dealer story about the recently published book Alex Harvey: Last of the Teenage Idols that reminded me of when I saw SAHB in Cleveland and Elyria (where Alex removed the ceiling tiles above his head) and I went to the internet to read more about SAHB. What a band!!! I had forgotten how much I enjoyed watching and listening to SAHB! I immediately places an order for The Best of SAHB and am looking forward to, once it arrives, having a recording of some of the greatest music ever written!!! P. S. My son's middle name is Alex. |
