| Message | This book/movie changed my life! I never tire of reading nor watching this "love" story. Grand examples of the art of letter writing and the deep appreciation for old books/used bookstores have thankfully been documented by Ms. Hanff to be enjoyed for generations to come. Thank you to Ms. Hanff, Mr. Doel, and the wonderful cast of real life characters who indirectly made me feel a part of something so rare...even just for a moment. |

| Message | As part of my visits with my 94 year old hospice patient, I read all of Helene Hanff's books. Edith loves New York and always wanted to go to London. So we visited these places through Helene's books. I am looking for a VCR tape of 84 Charing Cross Road to watch with Edith. We have thoroughly enjoyed these books. Thank You. River Eyes |

| Message | Since being given the book as a present a few years ago I have loved it and it wasn't long before I treated myself to the film. I think the fact that it was about real lives and people was what made it so endearing. Lovely site to find out a bit more about the people we have read about so often in Helen's pages. |

| Message | I will go to German for further study next year.I hope I will have the chance to go to London and see the 84 Charing Cross Road with my own eyes. (I think it's more convenience to travel to Britain from German than from China, isn't it?) I also hope, everyone,who really loves books,will have a happy life without pities! Excuse my poor English,I really don't know how to express all my feelings in English. But I think all of the readers,who like this book, can understand me!! |

| Message | I've just read this book in Chinese,not in English,because it's hard for me to enjoy a book in ABCs. ^ ^ But,this is really a very nice book.It really moves me!!Even though I haven't seen the original English edition. I think,there will be few things,which are more precious than the frendship between Frank Doel and Helene Hanff! |

| Message | I came across this wonderful movie one night late, after a hard day of work, and became engrossed so heartedly. I was amazed, to find to of my most favorite theispians, Mrs. Anne Bancroft, and Sir Anthony Hopkins, that I turned off the lights and turned up the sound. Need it be said, I was not once bored or lulled to sleep once, while watch. The very next day I located a copy of the original book, and setforth to read what I had missed in the movie. Now jump forth 5 years and low and behold I find the film again online, and lovingly I do a URL search for the title and find this site. Now I have the complete story of our Hero and Heroin. | Message | I would just like to say that in my ignorance I was not aware that your shop actually still existed. I drove past your shop last week by accident and was delighted as "84" as my wife and I call it is by far the best story I have ever seen turned into film in such a loving way. The feeling of warmth and reasurrance we get from watching this film is priceless. Keep up the good work, and I hope to visit you soon (I may even spend some money).
