| Message | Hey there , you are my favorite director / writer and that's what i wanted to write about in the first place but after seeing your attitude on Polanski's issue i thought i would write down some things about it. In my honest opinion the law systems all over the world have many flaws in order to point people lives to certain directions and i won't say a word about the law. However there's a morality issue here especially when dealing with harmless , innocent beings such as children. Of course the age of 13 ain't what it used to be some decades ago and the innocence is partially gone but that doesn't give the right to anyone to abuse a child of that age. An adult has chosen through life experiences how to stand against or for the dr*g culture of our times as well as his/her s*xual orientation but doing something like that to an under-aged is more like pushing him to the edge and towards certain behaviors that will maybe define the rest of his life and maybe give a good excuse to him when he grows up to do similar actions. Therefore even though i don't believe in the justice of today's law systems , i think Mr. Polanski should be punished with the maximum penalty for his actions. I know as an artist myself (not of you caliber yet but time will tell) that sometimes art means using unorthodox methods and experimenting but does that mean an artist can go beyond the frontiers of morality when they have to interact with other human beings and finally get away with it ? |

| Message | It's absolutely, unequivocally sick and disgusting to support a known and admitted child rapist. Do you have no morals? Polanski admitted drugging, seducing and f**king a 13 year old and ran away from the consequences and you think he deserves to be released now that he's finally been caught? He should have paid his time and with "good behavior" might have been released early and then could continue with his art. He was afraid he'd get a 50 year sentence? He should have thought about that before he chose to violate a child. You disgust me. Are you that out of touch with humanity? Would a person who drugged and sodomized your son (when he reaches age 13) deserve to be let off if they were talented in some way? Art above all else? Your stance on this matter is putrid. |

| Message | G'day mate as a fan of your directing I would just like to say how dissapointed I was to hear you don't believe in your own judicial process and support self admitted child sex offenders escaping the law. I wonder if your opinion would be the same if it had been a member of your family that was assualted. Polanski's position does not make him above the rule of law. To say otherwise is to encourage anarchy. Best wishes for the future. |
