Fair play to Hastings - the gateman wish us luck in the next round, and their supporters as I walked down the road were very generous in defeat. |

| Message | The new manager seems to be doing things right. Coming in after the clubs most successful period ever was always going to be a big job, but Mr Banyard seems to have been big enough to do it his way and all credit to him for that. I played nearly 300 games for the club, over 7 years and won 5 trophies so all the pre season unrest upset me. Merstham is a brilliant club and has come so far in the last 10 years. Players, like me and managers great as Sully was and Graeme seems to be come and go, but people like the Baxter/Fish clan, Ted and Martin are the heartbeat of the club. It is great to see stability returning to the club and long may it continue. Good luck for the rest of the season. Kev |

| Message | Well what can I say, as one of the few who felt that Graeme was the man for the job (before the interviews), i couldn't believe the remarks which reverberated around this site all through pre-season and well into the season. Well i deliberately kept 'my powder dry' just patiently waiting for this moment. Now that MFC sit proudly on top of the league (yes they have played more games, but I've always prefered the points, having once missed out on a title by having to play 13 games in 5 weeks!!)i just wonder where all the mud slingers are now ?? I haven't seen ONE single apology, NOT ONE Well done Graeme, crack on |
