MessageCompliments on the website Rose.It sure brings back memories. Although I was not on the ship at the time,I was indeed on the ship the day before attending to the phone line connections on board along with a few colleagues. It was as you can imagine a tremendous surprise and shock to learn of the sinking in progress on the Sunday morning. This after tuning in to Radio Algoa whilst taking the kids to Sunday School.Really glad that all made it to safety though.
Regards.

MessageHi Rose.
Hope you and the family are well. I am off toe Edinburgh next week for 7 days as our company is providing services at the NATO Conference being held there - pity its not in Dublin.
Thanks for updating my new blogger URL on your blog. I am already getting a lot more traffic as a result, so I will now have to get moving and finish my account and add some more material.
Take Care. smilie

Just had a look at your blog site - thanks for adding my blog address. I often take a look at your blog to get ideas and tips for my own blog.

Keep up the good work.

MessageThank you for your site and sharing your story. I was unfamiliar with the Oceanos incident until today. Having been in a field where lives depend on others, I was appaled at the Captain's and some of the crew's handling of the situation. It was heartwarming though, how others with no training, took control and used sound judgement.

Again,
Thank you for sharing, it helps renew faith in Humankind.

MessageI use the video of this tragic event as a learning tool on Leadership. Moss & Julian are truly inspiring. We can all learn from them about stepping forward, acting as leaders in times of need.

Walter.
