I'm so glad to see you're still writing  You've shown just how well Berenaur has redeemed himself here, contrasting his restraint here with how he treated Legolas at the start. If anyone can heal Legolas fully and convince him that he's no longer a captive, it's Berenaur. It's also a sign of how well Legolas trusts him, that he's able to give himself to Berenaur. Beautiful chapter! Thanks for updating. There can't be long before the end now, can there? |

| Message | hi betheliza, thank you for those kind words and i hope your year ahead is full of good things, too. Yes, Thranduil has suddenly realised what he threw away and wants it back. Can't blame him, he had to give up Meril and has to be terrified over the young children's fate because of it. Legolas now reminds him of his father more than he reminds him of Ningloriel, and hopes to create something more genuine between them than mutual disgust. That's a long road for them both  thank you for the compliments; i do enjoy writing and hope to start doing more of that now. Just got out of hell (again) and adjusting to the new terrain. |

I am heartened to see Thranduil making overtures to Legolas in an attempt to gain forgiveness. I admit to wanting to see a relationship develop there.
