MessageI had my first visit to the memory garden this summer. It really is beautiful. I spent some time weeding with Aunt Shirley and I know the garden brings her peace.
The Babstock reunion was during my visit home but we had our reunion in Ryan's garden. All the Babstock boys and spouses(Don, Mac, Terry, John and Bax) along with Aunt Shirley,Uncle John and Nan were there. It was great spending time with the family and enjoying the beauty of summer. Ryan may be gone but he certainly will never be forgotten.
Love
Carly

MessageThree years ago today Dad, Melanie and I said goodbye to you and Chantelle in Gander airport and watched you board the plane going back to Edmonton. For once, I didn't get upset...I told Chantelle I would stop worrying about you now and she said she'd pick up where I left off. We went on to a family wedding at the Albatross Hotel. Little did we know it would be our last embrace...our last kiss and our last hug and our last picture together! What memories we have but what a price we have paid! Each day brings a new memory of you...some that make us laugh and some that bring tears...love you forever, Mom and Dad.

MessageNot many people are aware that Ryan and I were friends...It happened kind of accidently actually...we both ended up at the same bar celebrating Christmas holidays and got to chatting one night about moving away from home and making a living..I can rememebr the day he came up to me telling me he finally landed the job he always wanted ..he was gonna have er made! And was gonna make that special woman soooo happy one day cause he was going be rollin in the dough now!! He always made me smile to an extent I cannot explain..as many people have mentioned he had a contagious personality and if you were having a bad day..all it took was a quick chat with Ryan and all your worries were gone cause after the conversation ended you were left thinking about him for the rest of the day...He will be missed dearly....but never forgotten in this lifetime..... xxxx oooo

MessageHappy Canada Day, Precious Ryan...thanks for the times you went with me to lay a wreath for Pop. You understood what July 1 meant! Emily and Uncle Bax lay the wreath today.
Today we were at the opening of Johanna's Day Spa for Kids. It was beautiful. We met Jenny Rideout...Glenn's mom and two of her sisters and her mom and precious Rebecca. We met Desma and Rod Churchill...Matthew's parents and his aunt Lynette. Then Jenny and her family and Lyndsey's mom Gwen and Leo came for supper...what a lovely evening. So many of us...we would never have met except for the common bond of losing a precious child...we know exactly what the other feels. One day we will all be united and what a party we will have! We tipped one for you...we love you. Nan said you had visitors from Marystown again today. Love forever, Mom and Dad

Messagei was just browsing through the net, and i came upon this wonderful site. I actually dient know Ryan, but growing up through school i seen him always with his friends. I dident know him personally. But eveyone knew who he was. And u always seen him with a smile. I have actually went through every creek and corner today reading everything. I am so amazed how someone can leave such an impact on so many peoples lives, basically right across Canada. He seemed to so happy in all his pictures, especially with his puppy lol. But to Ryans family i am very sorry for your loss but he most certainly lives through you, and his friends. And he is greatly missed. But really hes just behind the little thought. I wish i had come upon this site before. Especially being from Burin, but i dident even know about it. Buts its beautiful, and awsome. There seems to be alot to say. I loves the letter that Krista had wrote, when she said she was privelaged to have her front tooth knocked out by such a wonderful person. I dyed laughing. But its good to look back and laugh. Im sure its what he wanted. But i send both my sons and my love..And u surly are in out hearts.

MessageRyan, your garden is looking good. We have your welcome sign up and the flowers are blooming. Just planted a smoke tree for you and many, many flowers to add to the beauty. A blue jay flew across the garden giving us a peaceful feeling. We have had visitors from Marystown already and hope to have many more as the summer goes on. The garden is our connection to you and we love sitting there listening to the waterfall...we feel close to you...you are always on our minds. We love and miss you so! Love forever, Mom and Dad
