The picture of your mother Bee is, as I remember her being. She was a very beautiful woman and I was wondering if you could e-mail me this picture of Manuel and your mom? I remember the last time I had seen her and it must have been sometime before you moved to Japan. She stopped by one day when I was very young and I can remember a conversation she had with my mother. She kept herself always looking great in tip-top fashion. and it amazes me as to how she kept a beautiful feagure for all those years.

MessageI am in West Valley, Ut. Thanks for inviting me to this site Vonnie...sorry, I haven't been in touch but look forward to reading your journal. I am sorry to hear of Niels passing, but I know that he is in a far better place, and that someday we will be able to meet again as Warriors in the skies...I missed out on the recent reunions but I remember the one reunion that I attended with Donna Holt (Tolman), and it was a blast seeing everyone even if most of my classmates I knew weren't there. Maybe someday I will be able to attend another one, but know that my days at Yamato are remembered with fondness. As well as my times in Japan period! Love, Velma

MessageI enjoy reading each chapter on the reunion. When reading chapter 4 I notice an error on where Mary Garret Frey is from. She lives in Arkansas and not Alaska. I would like to say I have been coming to the reunion since 1999, except the one in 2001 and this had to be one of the best yet. It seem like everyone was having a good time. I know John Irving (66) Bob Mutu (66) and myself had a great times dancing with all the lovely ladies there. Loreen Correll (65), Holly Correll (66), Mary Frey (65) and Pam Mathis (65) were outstanding company for us.

I'm looking forward to reading Chapter 5. smilie
