| Message | I am so amazed at all the information you have collected on my ancestors. I have a family document compiled by family member and given to me in high school. 50 years later, I am discovering the family is much larger than passed on by family verbal history. Thanks so much. I know there is much more I want to do, so much to learn. I remember the house John Hobson built on the Clatsop Plains, where my great grandmother grew up. Unfortunately, it burned in the 1960's. And how well I remember the tales of bringing scotch broom to Oregon - and how it really spread; even to my property in Estacada! And I'm not always happy about it!. Thanks for all the wonderful information and links to other sites. |

| Message | My greatgrandfather was Justus Hammond son of Peleg Hammond and Selina Sherman. Selina Sherman was daughter of Justus Sherman b.1805 Brookfield, Essex County, NY and Phoeby Guy b.1804 Kingsbury, Washington County, NY. I had originally many years back helped Patrica Hersey in her Sherman Genalogy. In Nancy Sherman's will her children were listed in what some believed to be their order of birth. Being Elisha, Theodore, Anna, Elihu, Morris, Justus, Frederick, and Olive. I don't have the document in front of me so I hope I got it right. Anyone may contact me for later generations. |

I am the only child of that marriage which ended in 1975, or there about. I was married in 1999 and divorced in 2000. I kept my maiden name. I do have a child from that marriage,and since he was born after my divorce was final, I named him Zain Grayson Owen Hartsook. He was born May 15, 2000. |
