MessageI am related to the Chaney line and was happy to come across the story - I have been looking for about John Seahorn Chaney and Emily Chaney (my 3x great grandparents). Some places his middle initial is listed as C and others S, which gets a bit confusing since there are other John Chaneys in the family. Thank you for all your work and dedication to put this site together - super helpful! The Photos are fabulous! Especially Roland and Minnie's photo in 1880's - they married 1882, so could be their wedding photo. How incredible to see a photo of my 2x Great Grandparents in their youth! Thanks again!

MessageHello, I was hoping that you might have some info on Greenlee Matthew Gatton son of William and Nancy Gatton. No one seems to know how he or where he died. But that he is only buried in the Gatton cemetery. And that he was married, she remarried.
Thank you
James

MessageI am hoping to find descendants of Elizabeth HARTSOOK who married Henry BUMGARNER (variation in spelling) 21 September 1804 in Augusta Co. VA.
He was son of Balsar/Balzar BUMGARNER
and his sibling, Elizabeth BUMGARNER(1790-1836) who married Jacob HARTSOOK 28 May 1808 in Augusta Co. VA. He died 4 Oct. 1850,at age 70.
FGR says they were both buried in Raccoon Twp., Gallia Co.OH, however only his grave is recorded in Sanctuary Cemetery records as far as I can tell. I hope this helps someone in your Hartsook line. I would love to hear from someone with info on the above couple and their descendants.
Sincerely,
Janet Milburn in Oklahoma.

Which Family Line?Burton/Brady
Was my information helpful?Yes
MessageHello,

I am doing research on the Burton family. We have been looking for my great grandmother's maiden name for more than 50 years. We think based on your research that she was Jennie Burton (twin of Margaret and sister to Francis). They're mother was Irish. They lived in Portland during that time, and my father thinks that Burton was the name. This is the only record I have found of this family. I know at some point, the Burton marriage ended. I am looking for grave/burial information. I also have pictures of Jennie with her daughter Mary Margaret and other women family members (grandmother, great grandmother) are pictured. I'm assuming they are Burtons. If you have any other information, that would be wonderful. If not, thank you for your wonderful research!
