MessageMy deepest sympathies to the Tompkins family. I cannot immagine the pain of losing someone this special at the peak of his career. We will all miss him deerly. I had the pleasure to have met Shawn during the UFC Fan Expo in Boston and he couldn't have been a nicer person. He was a great coach and greater person. My heart is with you in this time of sorrow.

MessageI did'nt know Mr. Tompkins, but saw the posting and wanted to offer my condolences. It's very sad when a person so vital and young dies leaving behind a young family to cope. My deepest sympathies go out to you. Death's sting will not always exist. The Almighty God did not intend or create man to die - but just the opposite, to live forever. When God sent his Son Jesus Christ to the earth it was a foregleam of what will happen in the near future. The sick will no long exist, our dead loves ones will be resurrected, and the world will be a beautiful paradise earth where little children will be safe no matter where they are.
When you are able to consult your bible, please read John 5:28,29 and Acts 24:15. Also, Revelation 21:4,5 points to a future where death will be no more.

Thank you for allowing me to share in this most grevious time.

MessageIn such difficult times is hard to express in words what you feel. But , in a sport where the fighters are having all the attention of the media and fans, Shawn Tompinks succeded in gaining the respect of the whole! I remembered the fight between Sam Stout- Yves Edwards at UFC 133 , coming into the fight I was a big fan of Edwards, but watching the close relantionship between Stout and Tompinks and seeing him pre-fight I couldn't stop myself from supporting Stout and in the end i was very happy about the result , not because Stout won but because Shaun was in the winning side !
MMA wouln't be the same without "The Coach". R.I.P.

MessageI remember training in Xtreme Couture for a month in 2009. We were there two weeks when we asked Shawn would he let us train with the pro's for the final two weeks. To our amazement he did. I will never forget how nice and polite he was. I will also remember the opportunity he gave me to train with guys that I had looked up to for so long. Thank you so much...may you Rest in Peace.

MessageAs a fan of the sport, Mr. Tompkins was an invaluable ambassador to the world of MMA. MMA would not be where it is today without the help and training that Mr. Tompkins provided. I hope you are having a blast training with Mr. Lee. Deepest Condolences to your family. God Bless.
