| Message | Guys, I think i have the ability to edit/delete any post so feel free to name names etc. However should you receive a visitor from another part of Europe carrying a violin case and 'making you an offer you can't refuse' then that's beyond my control and you are very much 'on your own'. However if the guy turns up on the 3rd July at the Grove Hotel (to be confirmed) then buy him a beer! Incidentally I wrote to the school asking if they would be interested in putting a link from their home page to our site. Needless to say they declined. They expressed some concern as to the link being seen as a form of endorsement! Although their IT guy did indicated that he thought we were 'responsible' - dam cheek! Since when has a ex-brj pupil been 'responsible'! |

| Message | Oh yeah, Chick was definitely involved but there were one or two others and I think we should give them to chance to fess up. I don't want to say anything libellous that may result in Joe's great new site being shut down but I seem to remember a two-finger rendition of Jingle Bells from Kevin Storer, but I may be wrong. And yes, Mr Morgan definitely speeded up in his red-faced, perspiring, whacking frenzy. I wonder who the poor devil was who was the last person in the line? Joe, Mr Regan replaced Mr Morgan as deputy head. |

It was the Italion answer to Bobby Crush -- Mr Sergio Ceccerini, and (this is sad) i can even remember what he was playing, It Was the ever popular 'In The Summer time' by Mungo Jery. yea your right about 'The Count' getting faster and faster dishing out the cane, by the time he had he was like Charley Chaplain fly fishing !!.   |

| Message | Hi Brendan, Back again so soon! Now before i spend the whole of Easter making changes as your memory keeps kicking in - are you sure about the teachers? Funny i to remember the TD incident. And i can recall that we were all in a line and walked up to receive our treatment - the funny thing is i think that he got faster and faster as the line got shorter. | Message | Thanks Joe for updating the rogues' gallery. And John, you're right, the spanish teacher was Mr Dunn. I think the other Deputy head was Mr Regan, not Reid. Just looking through the list of teachers made me smile. I remember Mr Turner the RE teacher, a gentle giant of a man. His idea of giving you 'a thick ear' was to hit you on the top of the head with his open hand which was the size of a dustbin lid. It generated such force your head disappeared somewhere between your shoulders and your spine was compressed like a spring. I also remember the great class of '68 caning incident. It was a TD (technical drawing) class and Mr Pegg hadn't turned up. Some unruly elements whose names I won't mention decided to take it in turns to play the piano. In storms Mr Morgan and demands to know who was responsible. Despite the fear on our faces the class of '68 code of silence/no grassing held firm. So he made us all line up and caned the lot of us. If I remember correctly when he left we all burst out laughing and he came back and caned us all a second time (or maybe I've made that last bit up). Anyway, as John says it never did us any harm (he says as he reaches for tablets to cure nervous twitch) |

I hope you are right with the errors as I will make the modification tonight - in all this spare time I have.! If i had time to waste my golf handicap would be in the teens instead of 27! - What's yours John hahahahha! | Message | Wey Hey !!!, i got that link Joe - Thanks. Well done son , really good job , its an excellent site. can i come and be your apprentice ?, its obvious that you have too much time on your hands -- i could do with a gig like that. Good to hear from Brendan. He mentioned the Spanish teacher -- i remember him as well but i'm struggling to be certain about his name , but i think it might have been Mr Dunn ?? . Funny name for a Spanish teacher (soz) , i think he was actually Welsh. I remember he tried to introduce us to the joys of rugby one day and most of us took the opportunity to have an excuse to give a teacher a bit os a kicking. Ho hum happy days. Also there was a tyrant - sorry make that teacher called Morgan (Nickname 'Count' who was a bit 'cane happy' , and i think achieved the lofty position of Deputy head. He was ok really , the cane never did me any harm, although i've never been able to tie my own shoelaces since. Does any one remember him catching Keith Randles Skiving ? , he caught him manning a stall in Wellington market selling foam rubber !! - Ha Ha - priceless. I've promised Jackie and Sergio a copy of an old photo from JUNIOR school, so i'll put a copy on here as well. Hope everyone is in good health etc, looking forward to the next bash.
