| Message | Calling all ex BRJ pupils who may have been taught Art by Mr Michael Collins. Sadly Mr Collins passed away on 6th Jan 2011 after a long illness. After taking early retirement in 1992, Mr Collins continued to pursue his passion for painting, featuring many landscapes of South Shropshire. There is to be an exhibition of his final works at the Ironbridge Gallery, Merrythought Village from 2nd Sep to 29th Sep 2011 at which it is hoped to raise money for the Lingen Davies Cancer Care Appeal at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. Gallery opening times: Tues to Sat – 10am to 5pm – CLOSED on Sun & Mon. It would be a fitting tribute to Mr Collins if any former BRJ pupils could attend. Please pass the word on if you would to as many former BRJ pupils as possible. |
