| Message | You are correct every player has the option to play or tryout with whom ever they want to. As a player rep for The Cleveland Outlaws I don't believe in tryouts, or tryout fees. Our players don't play flag so why are players judged in shorts? The Cleveland Outlaws accept any player who truly wants to play this game. Once on the team each player has to earn playing time, that isn't promised. Some players can overcome a lack of size, speed, strenght with just pure desire. Those are the player most teams cut (at a cost to said player) in shorts not in pads. I would rather have a whole team of players who just want it more, rather than just good athletes.
To all the new teams trying to form and join the TUFA. Best of luck to all. It is really hard to make it thru the first years. Chose your players on character rather than on talent. In the beginning as always you need a lot of good players, but better men. Your leaders will be the diffrence in making it, or having to fold up shop. Go Outlaws!! |
