| Message | I am also a very southern woman and a wife and mother. I have three children and they are what I live for! My oldest daughter's best friend (and has been for years) is a gay young man who calls me "my other Mom". I love him as if he were my son, treat him as if he was my son, and was there to support him when he "came out" to his family. I can't imagine what this young man's family is thinking, but what they are doing is WRONG. We are supposed to support our children, care for them, shelter them, guide them & love them unconditionally. We are supposed to let them make their own mistakes, decisions and guide them through their experiences with love, respect and understanding. This is our job as parents, Not to tell them who/what they should or should not be. Bryce, I Pray that for your sake, your family will see that what they are doing to you is wrong and that they will let you be free in your decisions no matter what they are, and that you will find the peace and love you deserve. It sounds like you are a remarkable young man. Good luck & God Bless |
