| Message | i know bryce because el dorado is a small town and everyone knows everyone. and everyone's business. it really hurts me that his business is thrown about every where, but i do support its cause. i understand not being able to be open with ones parents on whatever topic. and i am a strong believer in Gay Rights and i do believe that God loves everyone equally. i hope that Travis stays strong and i hope that he and Bryce can be together again!! and Travis, if you read this just remember that the Beatles said it best - All You Need Is Love!! |

I hope on this day you wont be marred or brainwashed by what you were going through. I also hope that you'll let us know, on what your decision was based on, to brake off with travis, and to let your family decide for you. Every day I pray for you, that you may reach what you seriosely want to be. I pray for a sign of life of you. I pray, that you both, travis and you will persevere till the day of your return. It is only up to Bryce what to do with his life, and I feel he will make the right choice, and if he was wrongly coerced into this horrible camp, then it is fully the parents responsibility. | Message | I am so sorry to read of Bryce's situation and it affect on his boyfriend. I am retirement age and did my own version of "curing" myself of being gay by forcing myself to marry and do what my christian family and community would have me to do to "overcome" my homosexuality. I tried for 20 years to "cure" myself, I can only imagine what Bryce is going through because of my own experience. My heart goes out to him, he may have been convinced that "god" could change him, well from my own experience and a long one at that, it won't happen. I nor anyone else can change what naturally took place in our lives, we are what we are, and no amount of "trying" can change who we are. In my case I married and had two wonderful children who are now grown, so something good came of my efforts to deny who I really was/am, for that reason I'm glad. But I wouldn't wish going through inner conflict to change what is on anyone. Its my hope that Bryce somehow realises this much much earlier in life than I and many others from my earlier generation did. I think it is only right that Bryce be allowed to stand back on his own for some reasonable amount of time and talk to his boyfriend one on one. I'd say his feelings are still there for him once left alone. Take courage both of you, and be who you are, not what anyone else or any group of people think you should be, then and only then will you both be happy. I send an affection hug out to both of you. |
