| Message | Bryce, Hopefully you return safely (mentally and physically) to those who truly love you exactly as you are. As a gay christian I find these conversion ministries to be blasphemous. Being gay is natural and like all other things in the natural world God made them for a reason. These conversion ministries challenge God's design as if humans have the intuition to determine what is godly and what is not. Love is right and true whether it is gay or straight. | Message | Militant Christianity can cause as much damage as any other militant religion. My own experience included a Baptist friend who suported me through a divorce, and much more, but when I told him I had 'married' my boyfriend (he never knew I was gay) - I never heard from him again. Six years ago. Christian love in action? And I believe Bryce's family are also Baptist? How many young men have to die before well meaning Christians weill step back and ask why their "love" causes such damage? Many years ago I used to be involved in Pentecostal churches and fought against my sexuality. Eventually I came to accept myself, but not before going through more personal suffering than was necessary. And I have more recovery ahead yet. I know now that, amongst other things, Church views are distorted because they don't take into account culture and circumstance influencing WHY some passages are written as they are in the Bible. Instead we read them today in our own culture and misinterpret. If you want to pray for someone, pray for Bryce's parents that they will see and know truth and love and lift the yoke from Bryce's shoulders. And love him as God made him. |

| Message | Mr. Harris, I just wanted to say that I appreciate this site and all you do and have done especially where Bryce is concerned. I was brought up in a strict Luthern family and was disowned when I was outted. Thankfully my Grandmother of all people pulled my parents to my side and even though it has been over 7 years it can be touchy to them but at least they are supporting me to a point. I wish this site would have been here when I was "discovered" or at least if it was I would have known maybe it wouldn't have been so hard. I know what it is to not have a choice in "coming out" to those you know and it is damaging beyond all means cause it is harder when it isn't your choice. These places that think they can "cure" you are crazy and I hope someday they are outlawed. I mean what if it would be for people who wanted to marry someone of another color? It wouldn't stand in the law so why should they now just because you are gay. My best wishes to you and all you do and I hope all works out for Bryce and Travis and anyone else who needs the support that this site can give. |

These parents are not people, they are bad people.The man can't stay by gay, just he's born by gay. And Bryce is adult and he should to deal that he want. I hate these parents. I'm gay too.
