Please note...Bryce is not being held against his will or has he been kidnapped.
As in most cases such as this, fear and intimidation is used to "hold" the victim.

This Guest Book is for Bryce to let him know there are those who are
concerned about him, wish him well and want to show their compassion. It is not for those who wish to demean gays. There are enough websites devoted to that you can go vent on.

MessageDear Bryce: God loves U and all of us who go through the adjustments we have to make to be accepted 4 what we are NOT for what others want us 2b. Believe me, if I had a bf as true as Travis, I would realize that I am fully loved and would not fear being disinherited. Dear Beloved one: money changes nothing and is as fleeting as those clouds that hover over ur life! The man U have dedicated to U is as real as ur future - I love U and ur boyfriend in the love of Christ and hope U surpass this test U are all going through.
Loves ya'

MessagePlease remember to do WHAT YOUR HEART tells you to do. Don't let other people dictate your life. You only get the chance to live once, so do what YOU want to do. The people that love you will be behind you 100%, & if they aren't, then they aren't that important. I hope you return home safely & everything goes as you wish. Good luck!

MessageAs an educated heterosexual, I'm sad that some people have problems to accept homosexuality as a fact.

Particularly strange: Why are fundamental Christians so homophobic? Didn't Jesus have 12 male disciples? He might have been homosexual, too.

MessageMy Dearest Bryce,

With each passing day I worry more and more about you. I worry about this place harming you both mentally and physically. I know you are strong enough to get through this and smart enough not to believe the lies that are being drilled into your head. I continue to pray for your safe return or escape from this place that is telling you that something you have known your entire life is wrong and that god made a mistake. You are perfect just the way you are and no one should be attempting to change that. I love you and continue to honor my promise and stand strong for you and for us. True love conquers all.

Love Always,

Travis

MessageWhen people fear, they get nasty. This is fear at it's worst.

A christian loves. A christian embraces. God has told US to love and embrace. The rest is up to Him. We are sinners when we hurt others. If this is truly what the Faulkners say it is, I pray they let their son speak for himself. I also ask that each side please refrain from violence and threats. This is not what this is about. This is about nothing but love and if these two people are meant to be together, I would hope that someday the families would be able to communicate. But your support of these two should not be with malice. It is as bad as those keeping the two apart. I pray for a peaceful happy ending (which hopefully is a beginning) Much love and God Bless!

MessageThis is actually for Travis. I had my lover of a year ripped away from me by the Mormons. After months of stalking, emotional, financial, and spiritual abuse, she had a psychotic break. We were deeply in love, and were ready to sign a lease on our first apartment. I lost everything in a moment. My heart goes out to you, as I know the pain that you must be feeling every moment of each day. My story doesn't have a happy ending, we were never reunited. But, be strong, be courageous, and be good to yourself.
And Bryce, if you see this, as a child of a pastor, I can tell you that you are not less than for being gay. Your parents are less than for not loving you for who you are. I believe firmly that God sheds a tear whenever parents do to their children what your parents have done to you.
Much love to you both as you navigate this nightmare.

And just to state explicitly what I alluded to earlier...what if Bryce comes out of here depressed all the time, moody, reclusive, cold, doesn't like any of the things he used to, doesn't smile the same way anymore, doesn't want to be a doctor anymore, but he's straight (or at least, he's able to suppress his same-sex attraction so that he doesn't act on it). I know you would still love him, but...

would that make you happy? Would that make his parents happy?

Maybe not all or none of that actually happens, but, as interviews with people that have gone through these camps show, at least some of it usually does.

As Travis' mom said today, some of it probably has already happened to Bryce, in these past 45 days, two hours, 13 minutes, and 30 seconds secluded from the world and human contact.

As I said before, be careful what you wish for...

Just one more thing. Please don't take away from what Bryce did have with Travis by saying that this was between Bryce and his parents. It's pretty obvious that Bryce and Travis had a very close relationship. I saw in one of the YouTube videos a picture Travis took of him, live in his room, and Bryce...sleeping on the other side of a webcam. I didn't notice it when I first saw the video weeks ago, but after I read one of Travis' latest interviews where he talked about how they would often fall asleep together (yet so far apart) talking to each other on Skype, I noticed it the next time I saw the video. That really touched me, I must say.

So, please, please realize that this is not just between Bryce and his parents. I have no reason to doubt Travis when he says over and over again that Bryce's last words to him were to stay strong for the two of them and that Bryce loved him. Travis has done exactly what Bryce asked him to do, times a million! People would kill to have a significant other who, if he thought that person was in trouble, would do for that person what Travis has done for Bryce. Do you see why this breaks our hearts? This is not a matter of a homo"sex"ual relationship; it really looks like love to me.

Please, reconsider encouraging Bryce to move the ball forward here. And please recognize that Travis has a right to be concerned, as do we all.

MessageI wish him the strength to overcome this torture and to be able to feel love again. Hopefully he will not kill himself.

Thank you so much for coming back here...I hope you will keep doing so. I must ask you the same question that everyone has been asking here though:

Why can't Bryce just come out and say that himself? I'm crying now as I type this. This is torturing soooo many people who care about him and distrust his family. It won't take much. All he has to do is show his face to a reporter and say how great he is doing. Just one 20 second live interview will at least show us that he knows about us and the support for the alternative option he has to reconcile his homosexuality with his faith instead of choosing between them. Do you think he really thinks that is an option? If he doesn't, then he cannot be making an informed decision, and if you support keeping what's going on out here from him, then I don't think you are being fair to him.

Why doesn't Bryce stop all the pain that he is causing us out here? Is he a mean, inconsiderate person? Not from what I hear. Can't you see why we are suspicious out here? It wouldn't take much to quell most of this uproar. If he shows himself and acknowledges us, then at least we know he remains there because he chooses to, KNOWING ALL HIS OPTIONS. We still won't feel good about it, but at least we might be able to sleep at night.
