I have fought for a long time and I can tell you that you cant change who you are. There are people who obviously love and care for you and they are the people you need most. But this year instead of celebrating what should be the most joyous federal holiday of the year I am thinking about how ironic it is that you have had your independence taken from you during the first ever national LGBT awareness month through means of economic blackmail. I have to ask, are we really free here in America? | Message | How sad that something like this is allowed to happen. Bryce: I hope the you have the will power to be who you are, regardless of what some people may think. Family is who you choose to have around you, not necessarily the family you were born in to. You are who you are for a reason and the people that love you won't care one way or the other. As long as you are a good, kind person, and as long as you treat others with the respect and dignity that some have NOT shown you, you will always have a family and you will always have a home. | Message | Bryce, On this day, July 4th, 2009 many on Facebook are, at this moment attending "Prayers for Bryce". This is in hopes that God, and you hear their prayers. The country is celebrating freedom and independence while you are not with us to celebrate  Instead, at the hand of your own parents, you are being held prisoner, without the joy of independence. It angers me to the core that any woman would willing allow ANYONE to lay their hands on ANY child they bore and be able to look in the mirror and call herself a "mother". That is not a mother, that is a sadist. Yes, tonight, I am angry. I am angry that your family would allow you to be brow beaten, abused and punished....why? Because you loved. | Message | This is such a sad situation. I don't understand why people are not loved and accepted for whoever they are! I hope that Bryce and Travis are able to be together and that they are able to find a way to support themselves and each other -- and to thrive in this world! It seems so silly (and horrible, outrageous, and crazy) that in 2009 this sort of stuff is still going on!
