As one who went through that program and knows first hand the damage it can do, I am SO standing in your corner behind you. Just remember there is nothing wrong with you. You are not suffering from any addiction or any of the other lies that they are telling you. If you are in Memphis and if you can get away, I urge you to come to our Community Center. | Message | I am a minister in the United Church of Christ and we were the first denomination to ordain an openly gay man in the 1960's and since then we have ordained many more. Many of our churches are open and affirming of lgbt persons. Our clergy and lay delegates meeting in Atlanta in 2005 affirmed the right of same sex couples to be married in the church. Despite these accomplishments we still have a long way to go - but we will not give up the fight for equal rights for all! |
