| Message | I was shocked upon hearing of this unfortunate incident. In this deeply Christian and conservative society of pointless norms, I'm not surprised that things like this happen. However, it's completely unacceptable to restrict the freedom of a human being, who has done nothing wrong, or isn't even of any danger to anyone else. Homosexuals, or other sexual and/or gender minorities, have been proven to be no worse than anyone else. All Bruce ever did was that he was different from the majority. Is that a reason for not only restricting his freedom, but painfully suffocating the person he truly is to make him a part of the no-better majority? The image of these minorities given to homophobics are blatantly false. For example, see the very beginning of the Epistle to the Romans. There is a completely out-of-imagination born list of negative adjectives, used to desrcibe those, who abandon the natural sexuality. These adjectives cannot be used to describe anyone. However, many Christians seem to believe them just like that. Do they put any thought into what they read? Are they unable to question what is told to them? In conclusion, I would like to ask people to question what they have been taught about homosexuality. I am sure that with this procedure open-mindedness and peace will reach out futher into the hearts of everyone. |
