MessageI've just moved up the bus! Sadly Mum, Jean Horsell ex Easton Hall passed away and her Service is in Wiltshire on 18th July. Whilst writing her Eulogy I wrote "our happiest family years were spent at Easton" - well that was my view. Dad passed away five years ago. I am still in contact via f/b with a few friends - Cheryl Page, Nigel Cox, Stuart Bentham. Mary Lanyon of Glebe House lives near me. I have vast quantities of slides and photos - perhaps I will get around to them one day.

Me - Married 33yrs, 4 children no grandchildren yet. Love to hear from people who remember the fun years!

MessageI spent two weeks every summer in this lovely village with my brother. We stayed with my Nana Etta Wake (Watkins) and I remember the village and its residens very fondly. My nana originally lived in the little cottages on the entrance into the village - outside loo and shared entrance with Kate the elderly lady who lived next door. Phyllis lived in the big farm over the road and took me out in her horse and trap along the Race Road. Drinking shandy in the Exeter Arms feeling all grown up; picking blackberries for my Nan to make jam; walking into Stamford and spending lots of time at the Moor. I haven't been back for many years but it has a very special place in my heart. xx

MessageI don't know who set up this website but thank you.

My Nan, Dot Borowiecki (nee Brittain), was born, married and is now buried in the Church yard with her husband Toni. For many years my nan worked in the school kitchen along with her friend Cath Chambers. I so want to find out more about the village and it's history as it seems I have relatives going back to circa 1796 at least who lived here.

If you are reading this and can help me with history on the Brittain or Maddison family from the area or any other history of the village please contact me via e-mail. I would love to hear from you. smilie

Thank you. smilie
