MessagePlease keep my sweet Stanley in your prayers. He was diagonsed today with Lymphoma and I am completely devestated! We adopted Stanley 1 year ago this week from a lab rescue. The rescue got him from the pound and at the time he had kennel cough and was on the list to be euthanized that day. Stanley has brought so much joy and happiness to not only me but to my husband and 5 year old son. He calls him his brother. We will be bringing Stanley to the oncologist next week to see how long he has had this. In the mean time I will look up all and any holistic treatment that I might find. It is hard to believe that he won't be around much longer, especially when he has absolutely NO signs of anything being wrong. He still lays in the middle of the floor on his back and tail wagging waiting for his pets to the belly. I pray that God puts his healing hands on Stanley to give him longer life. It has been a rough 16 months - we've had to say goodbye to 2 of our cats. Thanks for letting me get a few things off my chest, I just feel so lost and hopeless. As I sit here wishing my Stanley to live forever I can't help but think how empty and lonely our home with be without him. As you pray for all the other doggies, please add Stanley to that list.

SHE HAD A STROKE TODAY DUE TO A LARGE CANCEROUS TUMOR ATTACHED TO HER SPLEEN. SHE IS IN THE HOSPITAL OVERNIGHT AND IS PLANNING ON COMING HOME TOMORROW. THE DOCTORS TELL ME THE CANCER IS SPREADING AND SHE CAN LIVE MAYBE A COUPLE MORE WEEKS OR MONTHS. THIS DOG IS MY BABY. SHE IS LIKE MY DAUGHTER. THIS IS VERY HEARTBREAKING FOR ME AND MY HUSBAND AND PEPPER. PLEASE PRAY FOR HER TO GET STRONG AND RECOVER AND THAT SHE CAN ENJOY LIFE WITH US FOR A LONGER TIME.

MessageMy husband and I found out last friday (4/3/09) that our 7 yr. old lab has an enlarged right kidney and suggested we get an ultrasound done. We had the ultrasound done 4/6/09, to find out our dog has a tumor in the bladder. No life expectancy was given, but the vet told us, we need to seek immediate medical care for her. No surgery can be done for her, and they believe the cancer in confined only in the bladder. This is our baby, and she wags her tail more than any other dog I've seen. She is our first dog as a couple and we are not ready to give up hope. I'm extending arms for pray to be sent our way and Safire's way to help us in beating this deadly cancer that rests inside her. She is too young to be given this disease.

We welcome all prayers and thank those that have and believe in the power of prayer, we are firm believers that it works...as my husband is a cancer survivor who has been in remission for 13 years!
