Message	My Dog's name is Millie. She is 10 Years old. Today I got a call from the Vet with the cancer diagnosis in her left jaw. I'm taking it hard. I blame myself for not paying close enough attention. A child came to my house and told her father that Millie needs to see a doctor. I thought she slobbered a lot since she got too aggressive with a bone after just having mouth surgery late last year for a tumor. Millie has heart issues under control but its hard for the doctor to recommend an operation because of her age. I came home early today instead of working late. Millie was happy to see me at the door. You wouldn't think she is sick. After dinner it was pouring down rain. She looked at me to say she wanted to walk. I made an exception this time to go in the rain with Millie. I put my coat on and brought my umbrella so she could walk under it. Suprisingly she stayed under the umbrella most of the walk. Its nice to be able to bond with my dog like this. I regret having my mind someplace else all these years. The one thing I think Millie taught me was to be in the moment. Tomorrow we go for X-rays. I hope the diagnosis is wrong or things go in remission. I hope and pray for extra time and no suffering. Its amazing for me to have such a strong bond with Millie. I did not ever think I could have a dog like her. She is truly one of the best things that has happened to me. Prayer is strong. I'm thankful to all for your thoughts & giving me this opportunity to express my feelings.

Message	My dog, Gentle Ben, has been diagnosed w/ lymphoma. He has 1 large tumour on his neck and a smaller one on his back. I am taking him in for an ultra sound tomorrow to see if it has spread past his skin. He is still happy and eating and drinking. Ben is likely 15-16 years old and I rescued him in 2001. He has been at the center of my family ever since. He and my five year old son adore each other. He is just like Carl in the children's books about Carl the Rottweiler. He even gets along w/ my four cats and keeps the peace among them. I can't bear the thougtht of losing Ben. He is my right hand man around here! I would appreciate prayers for Gentle Ben who is just like his name implies a truly gentle soul who is so loved.

Message	BOOMER WAS DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER IN FEB 2008. HE HAS BEEN ON PREDNISONE SINCE THE DIAGNOSES AND HIS WHITE BLOOD CELL COUNTS HAS BEEN LOWERING WITH EACH BLOOD TEST. TODAY WE FOUND OUT THAT HIS LIVER IS NOW BEING AFFECTED AND WE HAVE TO GIVE HIM MORE MEDICATION TO HELP KEEP THE LIVER FROM GOING INTO FAILURE. HE ACTS LIKE HE IS FEELING FINE- RUNNING, PLAYING, AND JUMPING AROUND WHICH IS WHY IT IS SOO HARD TO HEAR THAT HE MAY ONLY HAVE A FEW MORE MONTHS TO LIVE. PLEASE KEEP HIM IN YOUR THOUGHTS AND I WILL DO THE SAME FOR YOUR BELOVED SICK ONE.

Message	I have a dog named Princess who is a mixed breed. She was abused and we got her through a shelter and we got her puppy too. Her puppy (Spud) would have turned 10 on Mother's Day but this last Saturday he started having seizures out of nowhere and the vet said that there was a 95% chance he wouldn't be okay with surgery so we had to put him to sleep and we all miss him terribly. Please pray for Princess. She doesn't understand where her baby is. She keeps looking for him and all we can say is "all gone" and she just looks at us as if confused. I wish I could explain to her but I can't so please pray for her to get through this very tough time. I worry about her so much. If I feel as much pain as I do now I can't imagine what she must be feeling so please keep her in your prayers. Thank you. He suddenly started limping on his left lower leg & initial x-rays indicate Osteosarcoma, but, we're taking him to an onocology specialist in Mandeville, LA tomorrow, so, we'll know more then. Bentley was 10 years old on April 23rd & has brought so much joy, love & laughter to my husband & myself. He doesn't seem to be in much pain at this time & we have been very blessed that he's been healthly & vigorous all his life until now. His favorite things are going for a ride & swimming! We love him so much & are devastated by this news.

Message	My 9 yr old Yorkie, Bridgett, was recently diagnosed with an anal sac tumor. She has complications when using anesthesia to the point of her heart stops beating. Our vet doesn't want to operate until the tumor begins to grow and then it will be a high risk and we may possibly lose Bridgett. She is the heart of our home. Loveable and playful....always ready to cheer us up. She doesn't show signs of pain at this point. I pray that God will heal Bridgett's heart because I truly expect to have her many more years with us. In order to not have to face the chance of losing her, we ask that God heal her heart and make it strong. Also, that He heal this tumor and she doesn't even have to face surgery. I truly believe God created our pets to bring joy and love into our lives.... I tell Bridgett every morning..."This just might be the day....Bridge".
