Type of CancerLymphoma
MessageMy yellow lab, Dove was diagnosed with Lymphoma yesterday and my heart is just broken! She is 10 years old and has a mass the size of my fist on her esophagus along with some other masses in her abdomen. The doctor took exrays and says it looks like lymphoma but wanted to do some blood work. I got a call from him today and he said that her blood work looked great! He had expected her white blood cell count would be off by a lot and it's not. Now he's not sure if it's cancer or not. I would like to ask that you all pray for a miracle! I know she is 10 years old and she is going to pass one day, but she means the world to me and I just want her to stick around a lot longer. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers for my dog.

Type of CancerHemangiosarcoma
MessageMy precious baby girl earned her wings one month ago. There is not a day that goes by that I don't cry my eyes out. I keep hearing that time will heal, but it still hurts like she just passed yesterday. She was diagnosed w/hemangiosarcoma on Feb 1, 2010 and due to the aggressiveness of this cancer, she lived 7 weeks to the day. Her prognosis was 6-8 wks. Please pray for my strength, as I don't seem to have any right now. She meant the world to me and my heart has a huge hole in it now. I will pray for everyone's furry baby as I know this is one of the most painful things a person can go through. My heartfelt condolences go out to each and everyone one of you that stumble across this wonderful website. (Tacoma's memorial is on the Memorial tab of this site). Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Type of CancerHemangiosarcoma & Soft Tissue Sarcoma
MessageIt is 6 months ago today that my Toller Halie passed away from a soft tissue sarcoma. April 30 will mark the two year passing of my Winnie from hemangiosarcoma. I found this site when Halie became ill. I know the pain and heartache of losing a dog(s) to this disease. The pain eases a little with time.
We recently rescued two young dogs from "death row" from two Georgia shelters. This has helped with the emptiness and they have been a complete joy. We now feed them only natural foods, filtered water, eliminated chemicals in and around the home and have gone organic on our lawn. I have their titer levels checked so I do not over vaccinate.
I continue to visit this site nearly every day and read your stories and pray for all of your beautiful canine family members. I also pray for a cure for all cancers and know that our prayers will be answered.

MessageMax came into our lives as a baby. We found her on January 2, 2000 crawling across the road in the below zero weather here in Minnesota. We took her in and she has been a wonderful companion.

During her annual checkup on 04/16/2010 her vet said she has cancer, as she has lumps on her lymph glands under her legs.

My husband had a massive stroke and heart attack in 02/2005, and passed in 12/2008. I have three dogs; Max is 10 1/2, Cedar, a chocolage Lab is almost 9 and Gwynneth, an American Staghound, is 21 months old. I live in a rural area. The dogs, especially Max, have been my stability.

Max has done so much for us. God graced us with her presence 10 years ago and she has been a blessing. Never has a day gone by that we were not thankful for her. She is fully loved. Please pray for her as I will pray for all of you.

Thank you.
Mary, Max's Mom

MessageMy 7yr old black lab wasn't acting right so I rushed him in to the vet. He ended up having a spenectomy and the results came back hemangiosarcoma. I'm praying that the cells don't spread and trying some holistic therapy cause what have I got to lose. If his body fights the cells and they don't spread then he will live to be my old dog, if not then it will spread to his heart and lungs in a matter of months. PLEASE PRAY FOR MY GUS!!!
